That was so, so, so fun

On Saturday, July 24, Julie had some tickets to go to Discovery Gateway. We took Maddi and Andrew and had no idea what to expect. It was like the biggest indoor playground you have ever seen. You could spend hours there. I saw quite a few parents sitting on the benches reading books. They already knew the drill, let your kid loose and when they get tired, they will come and tell you.

I think one of the favorites was the "beehive" with the colored balls. You could stick the ball in the tubes and it sucks it up and around. Andrew visited that area 3 times during our 2 1/2 hour stay. They also loved the construction site. You could lift the blocks up to the platform and then throw them down the chute. There was also a little grocery store where Maddi could get a little cart and put groceries in there. My favorite part was when she saw the bowl of eggs and dumped them in her basket. Good thing they weren't real. You could even go out to the garden and "pick" your vegetables. I tried to get Andrew to wear a cowboy vest for his horse picture, but he just wanted the hat.

I was so proud of Andrew when he made the tower out of colored blocks and some little girl walked over and knocked it down. Andrew didn't get upset and just started making another tower. Maddi then gave us a weather report from the news desk. I'm sure they would have spent the rest of the day there, but we had to go. On the way out to the car, Andrew said, "that was so, so, so fun." He just kept saying how fun it was. Maddi kept saying that she loved it. Chalk up some points for the 2 fun aunts!
