Once I slept in, got a pedicure and did some laundry, Julie called Lisa and invited us over for dinner. So, we went down to her house and ate sloppy
joes. Which is an old family tradition. Our mom would give us meat for Halloween dinner so we would have energy to trick-or-treat. Yeah, right, it was probably so we would have something nutritious before the candy overload. After dinner the fun began. We put the twins into their pea pod costumes. Lisa wanted them to be two peas in a pod. She cracks me up. Elizabeth slept through the pictures and Emily was totally awake. Andrew was Buzz
Lightyear. Maddi was a witch, a nice witch. She had purple and black striped tights. Not socks. Julie and I both made that mistake. Maddi wasn't feeling so great, but once her friend came to the house and wanted to know if she was going out, Maddi ran to get her costume on. It was a little chilly outside and since Maddi still didn't feel great, she requested that her dad pull them in the wagon. How would it be to ride in a wagon and your dad pulls you, rings the doorbell and brings the candy back to you?

Jesse calls this the drive in movie

Andrew is sampling the candy where his mom can't see

Two peas in a pod

They look so excited. Maybe Andrew doesn't like peas, they are
vegetables

Maddi's facial expressions are classic

Andrew looks like he is thinking, "this trick or treating thing is such a chore"

I love how Andrew put his cars on the computer so they can watch too. And Andrew is more into green beans than peas, that's for sure. It's too bad Maddi was sick :( It was funny how everyone invited themselves over for sloppy joes!
Darling, Darling, Darling!!! I love the "drive-in movie" idea. Love the peas in the pods. SUCH cute kids!
